I grew up in the little Midwest city of Columbia, Missouri. While attending school there, I was an avid Quizbowler, choir kid, and cuber. My interest in math and science probably started with my puzzle-loving family and my AP Physics mates taught me that one can find community by suffering through a physics class together. I also have Charles Hussong and Petar Maksimovic to thank for convincing me that the subject of physics is not entirely suffering.
When I'm not thinking about physics, I touch rocks and paint on my iPad.
